On July 6, 2011, I posted Oh My Aching Back – Crunch Time.  That post identified the seemingly new argument that crunches and other related flexing exercises might not be “good” for you.  Since I have been doing crunches as part of my workout, I was interested – actually concerned.  Now I am down right confused.

T- Nation just posted an article To Crunch or Not to Crunch, by Bret Contreras and Brad Schoenfeld.  I urge you to read it and become just as confused as I am.

The authors do take a certain tongue in cheek attitude about all of the studies.  Clearly the point is well made – you can find a study to support almost any theory.
