Pumpkin Spice Latte

There was a discussion on the 52DC site on 9-12-12 concerning Dunkin Donuts Pumpkin Coffee – which we know is good. 

But here are the facts: DD Pumpkin Coffee Nutrition Info  210 Calories of which 47 are Carbs.

Ingredients in the Dunkin Donuts version:

Milk, Brewed Espresso Coffee, Pumpkin Spice Syrup [Skim Milk, Sugar, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Water, Brown Sugar, Caramel Color, Natural and Artificial Flavor, Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Salt], Caramel Swirl Syrup [Sweetened Condensed Nonfat Milk, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Sugar, Water, Brown Sugar, Caramel Color, Natural Flavors, Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Salt]

Here is a Do-It-Yourself Pumpkin Spice Latte – suggested by TommyLandNYC


1 Cup Coconut Milk
1 1/2 Tbsp Pureed Pumpkin
2 Tbsp Organic Vanilla Extract
1/4 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
Pinch of Nutmeg or Allspice
1/2 Cup Strong Coffee or Espresso
Pinch of Cocoa Powder

Cooking Steps

Brew your coffee or espresso first however you like.
In a sauce pan over medium heat, add coconut milk, pureed pumpkin, until your coconut milk is bubbling and steaming.
Remove from heat, stir in vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Pour into the bottom half of a coffee cup, then pour in your strong coffee or espresso on top of it and sweeten to taste.
Top with whip cream and then sprinkle with some cocoa powder.
