The Low Carb Bar & Summer Drinks


The TNT Diet allows upwards of two alcoholic drinks per day.  It does not encourage you to drink that amount.  The authors do acknowledges that it is a part of many people’s lives and therefore has to be incorporated into the program.  So what can you drink?

  • Two glasses of red or white wine.  Each glass should be no more than 5 ounces.
  • Two shots of hard liquor.
  • Two bottles of Low Carb beer.

The key here is plain.  The wine should not be sweetened or enhanced.  The hard liquor should be just plain old plain old.  The beer should be =< 3 grams per bottle.  Wine is fine but Liquer is quicker.  The Beer is a waste.  I have yet to fine a very low carb beer that has any taste.

Just remember to use diet mixer – otherwise stay with wine or beer.

Summer Frozen drinks are a problem.  You can do a work around if you have lost all your weight and are maintaining.  A couple of fresh strawberries and light rum or vodka will do the trick.

But – what about a specialty frozen drink for those still dieting.  Here is a possibility:

  • One shot of Smirnoff’s Black Cherry Vodka.
  • One scoop of Chocolate Whey Protein powder.  Any flavored protein powder should work.
  • One packet of sugar substitute.
  • A splash of two of Heavy Cream.
  • A handful of ice cubes.
  • Blend – I used the Magic Bullet.

KELLY posted this recipe on 5.18.12 for Low Carb Mojitos: Try the Crystal Light mocktails . . . the Mojito one is good. add just a little of the powder. some diet sprite. a lime slice. some mint. on ice. BAM! Sugar Free Mojito!!    Don’t forget the White Rum.
