33> TNT Diet – Plan A Nuts


Nuts and are a critical part of a Low Carb Diet.  They provide a significant amount of Fat and Protein.  But most importantly they provide – Crunch.

They are a great snack.  Raw or roasted, salt, sweetned, spiced or ground – they add variety.

Almond meal or flour is a great substitute for cookies for the bottom of a cheese cake or made into cookies.

Flax seed can add crunch to a salad or ground it can be a coating for chicken.  Best of all, you can make  it into Flax Seed Bread in a Mug or pancakes.

Peanut butter – is wonderful on a celery stick or made into an asian sauce.  Best of course – peanut butter cookies.

I did not include the fat content.  Just be aware that Nuts are limited – only two – 1 oz servings a day.  Why – well between the Carb Content and the fact that they are calorically dense, it is easy to over do a good thing.
